Thank you for taking the time to look through my online collection of digital photography. I am a freelance photographer based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
My approach to the art of photography has taken a life-time to find and still to this day evolves with every image. A lover of time based narrative, my works often include a theme of time or movement.
With this in mind, my architectural and landscape work often leans towards a fine art style, based on long exposure and monochrome compositions. Taking this further, my images are about the removal of barriers and pulling back the layers of reality. Desaturation and long exposure together break away the norms of reality. Taking this further with post-production via tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom enable a creative platform of endless possibilities.
Outside of this, one of my deepest passions is that of photographing people. Being a father of two incredible daughters and a husband to Samantha, our lives together as a family have been recorded for all time. Our journey from day one. It’s an important part of our lives, our catalogue of events provide us with memories otherwise lost.
As a family we are lucky enough to spend a great deal of time together. Watching our daughters grow is an absolute pleasure, and from that I offer one piece of advice. Record, the memories! There aren’t too many photographs of me as a child. In fact their aren’t to many photo’s or the family. This goes for Samantha also..
One of my favourite assignments and most popular is exactly that. Meeting couples, family and friends for the morning or afternoon. It’s a great experience, watching and learning from people. To me these images are personal, I don’t share them, which is why you won’t see them in the portfolio. I travel all over Europe doing this type of job for clients. Often rocking up on a distant beach, I’ve even followed behind on quad bike or horseback.
